Perfect Valentine Double Chocolate Cookies for Two (or one, no shame in loving chocolate cookies~)

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)

  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1+1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • a pinch of baking soda

  • a pinch of salt

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 3 tablespoons or more chocolate chips

  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles and M&Ms

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F/176°C and line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Set aside.
  • Combine the softened butter and brown sugar. Use a silicone spatula or whisk to mix until smooth and homogenous.
  • Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  • Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt and baking soda. Mix until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips, sprinkles, and M&Ms until evenly distributed.
  • Divide the cookie dough into 2 and shape them into two large cookies. Place them onto your prepared baking sheet, keeping them 2-3 inches apart (Add more M&Ms and sprinkles at the top of the cookies if desired).
  • Bake at 350°F/176°C for 11 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still gooey.
  • Cool for 10 mins on the baking sheet and Enjoy!
