Ponyo’s Classic Ramen

  • 1 packet of instant ramen noodles

  • 1 egg (hard or soft boiled)

  • 1 green onion, sliced

  • 1 piece of ham, cut in half

  • Water

  • Your favorite seasonings (such as soy sauce, sriracha, etc.)


  • Begin by preparing your ingredients: hard or soft boil the egg, slice the green onions, and optionally brown the ham before cutting it in half.
  • Place the ramen noodles in a bowl. If your ramen packet includes a dry seasoning packet, add it to the bowl now.
  • Pour the boiling water into the bowl, covering the noodles. Allow the noodles to sit according to the instructions on the ramen package (usually 3-5 minutes).
  • Once the noodles are cooked, uncover the bowl and separate the noodles using chopsticks or a fork. Mix the noodles, water, and seasoning packet together thoroughly. Add your favorite seasonings, such as soy sauce or sriracha, to taste.
  • Top the noodles with half of the boiled egg, sliced green onions, and both pieces of cut ham.
