Trick-or-Treat Ghost Cake Pops
Course: Dessert, SidesCuisine: AmericanDifficulty: EasyThe perfect treats for Halloween.
Ingredients
Store-bought mini pound cakes (or any simple cake)
Nutella (or any frosting of your liking)
1 package of white candy melts wafers
Lollipop sticks
Pumpkin-shaped sprinkles
Instructions
- Crumble the cake into a large bowl using your hands, a fork or a whisk.
- Add a few tablespoons of Nutella to the crumbled cake. Mix well until the mixture is moist enough to hold together when shaped. If needed, add more Nutella.
- Scoop out small amounts of the cake mixture and roll them into balls. For a ghostly effect, you can shape them slightly oval.
- For the ghost arms, roll smaller pieces of the mixture and attach them to the body using a little melted candy. Let them set.
- Melt a small amount of candy melts according to the package instructions.
- Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted candy, then insert the stick into the center of each cake ball. Allow it to set for a few minutes to secure the stick.
- Melt the remaining candy melts according to the package instructions.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, covering it completely. Gently tap off any excess candy.
- While the coating is still wet, place pumpkin-shaped sprinkles on the side of each ghost’s arm to simulate a trick-or-treat basket. Let the coating set completely.
- Once the coating is fully set, use the black edible marker to draw eyes and a mouth on each ghost. You can also add small handles to the “pumpkin baskets” for extra detail.
- Enjoy your Halloween treats!
